Pinta Sud | ASU organizes the third and final edition of Art Week in Asunción, Paraguay, from August 5 to 11, 2024, with contemporary art and cultural activations throughout the city in collaboration with public and private agents. This program invites you to discover the uniqueness of Asuncion´s art scene and to delve into its invigorating cultural offerings.
Since 2022, the Pinta Sud initiative brings cultural programs in cities across Latin America to celebrate their growing artistic scenes. Its mission is to strengthen cultural networks between the international art world and the local scene, resulting in economic and educational opportunities for Latin American art.
The institutions, museums and cultural centers accompany this impulse to revitalize the art and culture of Paraguay and will be open to the public throughout the week with a special program of activities.
We present the curatorial team of Pinta Sud: Adriana Almada (Main Curator and Pinta Sud Advisor), and Irene Gelfman (General Curator Pinta Art).
A week away from its official opening, the 60th edition of the Venice Biennale has generated press urbi et orbi.
